(Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center, Jackson, MS intends to procure sole source requirement with Elsevier, Inc., 11830 W Line Rd, St Louis, MO 19170 to purchase electronic resource system to house and host nursing policies, procedures and skills for each of the medical centers within VISN 16. This system will be used to provide nursing education skills of the highest quality from three leading nursing references exclusively published by Elsevier called the Mosby's Nursing Skills Labs package, which include Perry & Potter clinical Nursing Skills and Techniques, Proehl's Emergency Nursing Procedures and American Association of Critical Care Nurses Procedure Manual for Critical Care. The proposed contract action is for services and supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and must submit information about their capabilities no later than 2:00 PM Central February 22, 2008. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
