T -- Special Supplement to Journal of Trauma

Notice of Intent: Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements", the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole-source agreement to Wolters Kluwer Health Lippincott, Williams for a Special supplemt of the Journal of Trauma. CDC, other federal agencies, and professional stakeholders participated in a national conference to make recommendations that will improve clinical practice in trauma centers for patients with substance use disorders. The proceedings of the conference will be published as a special, freestanding supplement to the Journal of Trauma. The work proposed in this statement of work will provide the publishing and reprint of the Freestanding Special Supplement to the Journal of Trauma. Wolters Kluwer Health Lippincott, Williamis the publisher of the special suplement of the Journal of Trauma. Therefore, Wolters Kluwer Health Lippincott, Williamis the intended source for this journal. Under this anticipated agreement the contract actions are not expected to exceed $100,000. Only one responsible source is available and no other types of services will satisfy the needs of the Agency. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for action is 511120 – Periodical Publishers. FURTHERMORE, IT DOES NOT REPRESENT A COMMITMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO PAY FOR COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN THE PREPARATION AND SUBMISSION OF DATA OR ANY OTHER COSTS INCURRED IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Interested parties having all the capabilities to provide the special supplement of the Journal of Truma described above are requested to submit capability statements, by E-mail to the Original Point of Contact listed in this announcement. Parties must submit information within ten days of publication of this notice. This is only a notice to determine if there exist other sources that can meet the Governments requirements.
