44--THERMAL TECHNOLOGY LLC, FURNACE REPLACEMENT PARTS

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Code 681, Ceramics Science and Technology Group maintains and operates the Advanced Ceramics Facility which is used in for development and characterization of advanced ceramics and high temperature materials. This facility includes a 3000 degree furnace unit manufactured by Thermal Technology LLC.To allow for maintenance and repairs to be completed for the unit, replacement parts are needed and NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement with Thermal Technology, LLC., Concord, NH 03301. The required parts include hardware and control software that are a unique proprietary design of Thermal Technology and are not available through distributors. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals or quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. However, all proposals or quotes received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
