NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: Artisan Link Pro Special Stains System The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 22, hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm-fixed-price contract for Artisan Link Pro Special Stains Systems to Agilent Technologies Inc. The period of performance for this effort will be 12-months. Participating Healthcare Facilities: VISN 22 West VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System 11301 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90073 This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission or objective. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. This is not a solicitation.
