J -- Maintenance and Repair of an Automatic X-Ray Data Collection System

This is a notice of intent from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to contract with Bruker AXS Inc. at 5465 E Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711 for maintenance and repair (emergency service and preventative maintenance) for an Enraph-Nonius FR-591rotating anode x-ray generator equipped with Gobel optics and a Bruker SMART 6000 CCD detector on a platform Goniometer, on an other than full and open competitive basis. The contractor shall provide full service maintenance (including emergency service during normal business hours) and repair and/or replacement of all failed parts in order to maintain the system in good working condition. The system shall be serviceable by a single vendor. The period of performance for this requirement is for (12) twelve months from date of contract award with four (12) twelve month options, if exercised. This is not a solicitation.
