Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501, the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem that only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs. A determination not to compete this proposed contract is based on market research and is solely within the discretion of the government. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All responses must be received by September 5, 2018 no later than 9:00 AM Daylight Saving Time (DST) in order, to be considered by the Government. If the Department of Veterans Affairs does not receive an acceptable response to this announcement by the aforementioned date and time, in accordance with FAR 13.501, efforts to obtain these services will be continued with Philips Healthcare. A fixed priced contract will be issued without any additional notices being posted.
