J -- Radiography Equipment/ Sole Source

The Government intends to award a contract for the maintenance repair service of Radiography Equipment to Beale AFB, California as a direct award to Fuji Medical Systems, USA. The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, transportation and replacement parts on radiography equipment. This solicitation is a sole source award under FAR 6.302-1. Fuji Medical Systems has been the current contractor for the Radiography Equipment Maintenance at Beale AFB since 1 Oct 04. Market research has established Fuji as the only known capable company, which can provide the repair and maintenance services to fulfill the Beale AFB requirement. The clinic currently has Fuji Medical Systems computed radiography equipment. No other vendors are authorized to make modifications and/or repair the existing system. Therefore, Fuji Medical Systems is the only source that will satisfy the requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219. The small business standard is 6 million. The solicitation will be released as “other than full and open” solely on the Electronic Posting System (EPS), www.eps.gov, (paper copies will not be available). This award is based on the availability of funds before September 30, 2005.
