The Federal Aviation Administration=19s (FAA=19s), Southern Region wi= ll host a two-day Procurement Conference at the Downtown Sheraton Atlanta i= n Atlanta, Georgia July 29- 30, 2003. The conference theme =1C Creating Pa= rtnerships While Broadening Procurement Opportunities=1D, is designed to jo= in together the Department of Transportation (DOT), the FAA, and Atlanta=19= s Federal, State, and City Acquisition Agencies for the express purpose of = educating and providing vital government acquisition information, and outre= ach to small business. The morning of the first day there will be a genera= l session followed by exhibits from both industry and government in the aft= ernoon. The second day will consist of workshops and one-on-one counseling= . The some of the workshop topics are as followed: FAA Information Technol= ogy, Security, U.S. DOT Short Term Lending & Bonding Program, FAA Disadvant= aged Business Enterprise Opportunities at Airports, FAA Technical Panel and= FAA Dispute Resolution.
