D -- Drug Enforcement Administrations Technical Equipment Inventory System (TEIS) Services

This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000. Further in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to the Bachman Company. The intended contract will provide for continued technical support, software and hardware maintenance, and software and hardware installation of DEA?s Technical Equipment Inventory System (TEIS). Bachman Company designed, built, installed, and has continued to maintain the DEA TEIS application at 59 locations throughout the continental United States and abroad. Further Bachman Company provides Progress Software Database Management System application support services. Bachman Company holds the proprietary rights to the TEIS System utilized within the DEA, and is a Progress Database Management System Corporation designated application support partner. As a result Bachman Company is the only responsible source to provide the necessary accessibility to the program source code, procedural knowledge, and the expertise in the support and code generation.
