This notice is to notify industry that on September 30, 2014 a sole source requirement was awarded to Cross Match Technologies Inc. located in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This requirement includes maintenance and upgrades to the Cross Match Secure Electronic Enrollment Kit (SEEK) which is a product of Cross Match Technologies Inc. This is a proprietary system of Cross Match Technologies Inc., and the awarded contract consist of maintenance and software updates to the SEEK system in the amount of $228,000.00. This sole source contract action was awarded under the authority of FAR 6.302. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement in the future may be based upon responses to this notice, and shall be solely within the discretion of the Government. The following information of the SEEK system is provided: The Cross Match SEEK system is a handheld device utilized by the U.S. Border Patrol as a comprehensive biometric identity management solution combining forensic-quality fingerprint capture, rapid dual iris scan capability and innovative facial capture technology. The SEEK system is proprietary, and at this time due to limited budgeting the government's intention is to maintain the existing system and not procure an entirely new system.
