J--Notice of Intent To Award A Sole Source Contract For Preventive Maintenance and Unscheduled Repairs on Medivator Endoscope Reprocessors

PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Medivators, Inc., 14605 28th Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN 55447 for the purpose of providing preventive maintenance, repair, and software upgrade services for Medivator endoscope processing equipment. The procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in Pinevill, Louisiana has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, software, facilities, transportation and supervision necessary to complete all work associated with performing preventive maintenance, inspection and repair services, and software upgrades on Medivator endoscope processing equipment. Based on market research, and previous acquisition history, it has been determined that Medivator, Inc. is the only vendor capable of providing all the required preventive maintenance, repair, and software upgrade services. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fedbizopps.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.
