J--Sole Source Intent - Eclipse software support services for radiation treatment planning workstations

The Veterans Health Administration (VHA), NCO 15 Contracting for the Kansas City VA Medical Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of the FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements with Varian Medical Systems for the procurement of Eclipse Workstation Software Support services. VHA believes that Varian Medical Systems is the sole supplier of this service and it's not available from any other source. The Eclipse workstations utilize proprietary software for radiation treatment planning.. VHA believes that Varian Medical Systems is the only supplier of software support for the Eclipse workstations. The performance period for this firm fixed price contract will include a Base Year and four (4) Option Years. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS. Any interested companies are welcome to submit their ability to provide the specified products via e-mail to [email protected]. Please include reference number (VA255-15-Q-0351). Please respond by March 16, 2015 at 12 p.m. EST. Telephone requests will not be honored. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in preparation of information or documents. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis.
