NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Project Title: Central Issuance Facility (CIF) Printer Maintenance, H9821022CIF 1. On behalf of the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC), the Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA), Enterprise Operations Center is issuing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for CIF Printer Maintenance and emergency services. 2. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source and award a firm fixed priced contract to Card Technology Corporation dba NBS/Card Technology, 10925 Bren Rd E, Minnetonka, Minnesota 55343 for CIF Printer Maintenance and emergency services. The DMDC Central Issuance Facility (CIF) requires hardware and software support and maintenance, to include emergency calls, for the currently fielded two Horizon Evolution printers and accessories. These printers are used to print Common Access Cards (CAC) for the Central Issuance Request Station (CACCIRS) sites. The location of this equipment is the CIF in Seaside, California. The period of performance for services will be a 12-month base period with four (4) 12-month option periods. See attached Performance Work Statement (PWS) for an explanation of all required services, location of printers, printer, and equipment model numbers. 3. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 811212 – Computer and Office Machine Repair and Maintenance with a size standard of $30.0M. 4. This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a request for proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and telephone requests will be not accepted. However, all responsible sources that are capable of meeting the requirements for services as stated in the attached PWS may submit a written proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Written submissions shall clearly support and demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements as stated in the PWS. Responses must be sent to the designated points of contact listed below, by the established deadline. Interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to conduct business with the Government. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Notice; all costs associated with responding will be solely at the interested party’s expense. All information received in response to this submission that is clearly marked Proprietary will be handled accordingly. Acknowledgement of receipt of responses will not be made and submissions to this Notice will not be returned.
