Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO NEGOTIATE AND AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to Scheduled Airlines Traffic Offices (SATO) Inc., 4300 Wilson blvd Suite 500, Arlington VA 22203 to continue providing Commercial Travel Services for the United States Marine Corps, Okinawa Japan as well as for US Army Tori Station and its tenant commands under the authority of FAR 6.302. The Regional Contracting Office, Far East, Okinawa Japan intends to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price Contract, with SATO Incorporated. This sole source procurement is pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), as set forth under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(a) and (b). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is: 561599; a Federal Supply Class (FSC) Code of V305. This contract is issued to be a replacement of the previous contract and will include the industry wide fee for services structure and is intended to only cover the time between the contract issue date and when the Defense Travel Services (DTS) Regional Task Order is awarded by the Defense Travel Management Office for Headquarters Marine Corp, currently projected to be sometime within the next Fiscal year. The anticipated award date is 01 April 2010. The period of performance will be from 01 April 2010 through 31 March 2011 with one six (6) month Option Period. This Notice is not a request for proposals or quotations; however, any firm that believes that it can meet the specifications for services and be fully operational by 01 April 2010 may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
