--Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source- TDFM6148 Multi-Band Radio with Blackhawk installation kit, three each.

USPFO of Louisiana intends to award a sole source procurement to Dallas Avionics, Inc., 2525 Santa Anna Ave, Dallas, TX 75228. The award will be made for the purchase of three multi band radios (TDFM6148) and installation kits. This radio system has an existing airworthiness release from AMCOM, for immediate installation in the UH-60. This radio system is required to talk with all federal, state, and local agencies for training and emergency situations. This procurement is being made pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) 1 and FAR Part 6.302-1, for other than full and open competition; only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Dallas Avionics, Inc. is the manufacturer of the TDFM6148 multi-band radio and is the only known source that has it available for sale. All qualified sources must respond not later than 26 August, 2008, 1200 hours CST. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
