J--Notice of Intent to Sole Source Award Preventative Maintenance Agreement for Med Rad Injectors

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT Under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253 (c )(1), the VA Mid-Atlantic Healthcare Region (VISN6) Centralized Acquisition Service of the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole source award to MedRad Incorporated of Indianola, Pennsylvania. The estimated amount of this award is $22,000. The award is to provide a full service preventative maintenance contract for MedRad Contrast Dye Injectors at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. The government plans to solicit and make an award for this requirement to only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 253 (c) (1). This is not a request for competitive proposals. Solicitation packages are not available. Responses received in relation to this notice will be reviewed; however, ultimate determination regarding this sole source procurement requirement rests with the Contracting Officer. Responses must be received by 14 December 2009.
