65--PlanScan CAD/CAM System for Restorative Dentistry - Salisbury VA Medical Center

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for the Salisbury VA Medical Center, with Henry Schein for a Planmeca PlanScan CAD/CAM dental system. This system is needed for their new dental residency program and is being funded by a Federal Rural Access to Care grant. Henry Schein is the sole authorized distributor for this equipment. NAICS code 339114 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for equipment which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of Intent is not a request for quotations. Interested persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 10:00 AM EST, May 6, 2014 to: [email protected]. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
