Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract for the Procurement of Black Hills .223 80 GR BTHP, Match, Non Moly Ammunition

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Program Manager for Ammunition, Quantico, VA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Black Hills Ammunition, Inc., 3050 Eglin Street, Rapid City, SD, 57703 for 70,000 (cartridges) of Black Hills .223 80GR BTHP, Match Non Moly Ammunition. This requirement is in support of the U.S. Marine Corps Competition-In-Arms Program. This specific round from Black Hills has been developed for and tested by the Weapons Training Battalion for use in their competitions and is currently the only approved Moly Coated 80 grain Match round in their inventory. The estimated purchase order award date is 24 March 2009. Deliveries will begin 30 days after purchase order award. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 332994, Small Arms Ammunition Manufacturing. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, must be! considered by the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet the requirements by submitting a white paper, technical data for the item, and past performance data via email no later than 18 March 2009 to [email protected]. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open basis is solely within the discretion of the Government. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DOD must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR).
