Pre-solicitation Scout Sniper Day Scope Improved Mount

M67854-13-R-1038 - Pre-solicitation synopsis/ Scout Sniper Day Scope (SSDS) Improved Mount. This announcement constitutes the pre-solicitation synopsis. The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), located at 2200 Lester Street, Quantico, VA 22134, intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of the SSDS improved mount. The current solution is a two-piece set of scope rings that requires the use of a tool for weapon mounting. The goal of this procurement is to procure a one piece mounting solution that does not require the use of tools for rail attachment for the following weapon platforms: M110, M107, and M40A5. Formal offers are not being requested at this time and will be requested when the final solicitation is issued. A formal solicitation will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities website: www.fbo.gov, as the primary means of disseminating and exchanging any information concerning this requirement on or about 15 January 2013. It is the offeror(s) responsibility to monitor the internet for the release of the final solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered on System for Award Management (SAM), www.sam.gov under the applicable NAICS code. No phone calls will be accepted. In case of conflict between information contained in the released solicitation and that contained in this pre-solicitation synopsis notice, the information in the formal solicitation will govern. The award for the SSDS Improved Mount system will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) for an anticipated quantity of 3,242 SSDS Improved Mounts. A quantity of 2,193 for the 1 ½ inch height SSDS Improved mount for the M110 and M107 plus a quantity of 1,049 for the 1 inch height SSDS Improved Mount for the M40A5. The solicitation number for this requirement is M67854-13-R-1038. The North American Industry Classification Code is 332994. This will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition.
