6505--Intent to Sole Source Radiopharcaceutical Netspot, Illucix and Xofigo for the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System This is not a Request for Quote

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirement. VA Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with Cardinal Health. They are located at 7000 Cardinal Pl, Dublin, OH 43017. Cardinal Health shall provide delivery of radioactive material(s) in the form of radiopharmaceuticals (radio-isotopes). The products Ga-68 Netspot, Ga-68 Illucix and microcurie doses of XOFIGO (radium Ra 223 dichloride) injections need to be on one contract in order to simplify ordering these products per physician prescription. Cardinal Health are the sole distributors of XOFIGO (radium Ra 223 dichloride) injection, therefore another firm would not be familiar with the rationale of the design; not be able to accurately address Request for Information (RFI s); or accurately provide supply of the product, which is critical for proper patient care, as well as a sound end product. The personnel assigned by the contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. The delivery of items shall be delivered to VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Section of Nuclear Medicine; Room BW-222, University Drive Campus, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15215-1802. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. The size standard is 1250 employees. Interested parties that can meet the capabilities and requirements, may identify their interest and submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements, must submit information about their capabilities no later than NOON EST, 02/24/2023. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Department will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Cardinal Health.
