6505--Intent to Sole Source the Radiopharmaceutical Xofigo for the Lebanon VA Medical Center This is not a Request for Quote

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirement. The Lebanon VA Medical Center intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with Cardinal Health 414, LLC. They are located at 7000 Cardinal Pl, Dublin, OH 43017. Cardinal Health 414, LLC shall provide delivery of radioactive material(s) in the form of radiopharmaceuticals (radio-isotopes). Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals, Inc. holds the patent and Cardinal Health 414, LLC. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and only authorized distributor of Xofigo (radium Ra 223 dichloride) injection, therefore another firm would not be familiar with the rationale of the design or accurately provide supply of the product, which is critical for proper patient care, as well as a sound end product and be able to accurately address Request for Information (RFI s). The personnel assigned by the contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. The delivery of items shall be delivered to The Lebanon VA Medical Center, Section of Nuclear Medicine; Room G025, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. The size standard is 1250 employees. Interested parties that can meet the capabilities and requirements, may identify their interest, and submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements, must submit information about their capabilities no later than NOON EST, 03/10/2023. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Department will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Cardinal Health 414, LLC.
