59 -- NAMulti-Application Fuze Initiation System and Crush Switch for the Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) AGM-154C

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) Contract to Thales Missile Electronics Limited. This acquisition is for the FY08-09 procurement of the Multi-Application Fuze Initiation System and Crush Switch for the Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) AGM-154C (Navy and FMS). THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for the same will be disregarded. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION: The JSOW Multi-Application Fuze Initiation System was designed and developed by Thales Missile Electronics Limited (TME). TME is the sole designer/developer and is the only company with the knowledge, experience and access to the technical data necessary to fulfill the Government's need and meet its schedule requirements.
