Presolicitation Notice: full line fresh fruit & vegetable (FF&V) support for DoD and Non-DoD (USDA School and Indian Reservation) customers in Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle

The Government intends to issue a solicitation for full line fresh fruit & vegetable (FF&V) support for DoD and Non-DoD (USDA School and Indian Reservation) customers in Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle. The solicitation will be 100% Small Business Set Aside (NAICS code 111998/size standard 500). The resultant contract will be an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC), Fixed Price with an Economic Price Adjustment based on cost of materials. This contract will be for 4 years. It contains one (2-year) base period plus one (2-year) option period. The acquisition method is low-price/technically acceptable (LPTA). The contract dollar value estimate is $22.3M, not to exceed 200% ($44.6M) of the estimate. The contract guaranteed minimum is 10% ($2.2M) of estimate. We anticipate the solicitation issue date to be Monday, November 22, 2010 with a response required by Wednesday, December 15, 2010, NLT 3:00PM EST. Note: A pre-propossal teleconference is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Details to follow in the solicitation.
