Notice of Intent to Award - Cepheid GeneXpert® XVI Analyzer Maintenance Services - Irwin Army Community Hospital - Fort Riley, KS

The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, MEDCOM, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a Firm Fixed-Price, sole source contract to Cepheid, an other than small business, under authority Title 41 United States Code (U.S.C) 1901 as implemented in FAR 12.102(a) restricting competition for acquisitions valued below the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, to provide maintenance services for the Government-owned Cepheid GeneXpert® XVI Analyzers for at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, OK 66442. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 811210, and the size standard is 34M. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquires will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract for Government-owned Cepheid GeneXpert® XVI Analyzer maintenance services. The Contracting Officer determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available. The Fort Hood Health Contracting Branch, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West intends to make a sole source award to Cepheid, 904 East Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94089-1189.
