No questions will be answered, at this time. ************************************************************************************************************************************* The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) The Office of Science and Engineering Laboratories (OSEL) would like to purchase two (2) each ultrasound flow meter for non-invasive flow rate measurement in benchtop circulatory loops and other experiments. The goal of this procurement is to better equip the Cardiovascular Program in OSEL with the research tools needed to carry out regulatory science. The product needed is ultrasonic flow meters and a set of factory calibrated flow probes for various tubing diameters and working fluids. There are several current and future projects which intend to use the ultrasonic flow meters and probes. Their primary use is to measure the flow rates of human and animal blood, phosphate buffered saline, a glycerin/water blood analog, and sodium iodide solution circulating through flow models, which are meant to generate regions of high shear stress and red blood cell damage. They will also be used to measure flow rates in blood circulatory loops to study blood clot formation and growth. Additionally, to measure flow rates in mock circulatory loops used to study hemodynamics of ventricular assistive devices and artificial hearts. Lastly, these ultrasonic flow meters and probes will be integrated into current experiments and need to be 100% compatible with the currently used systems – Transonic Systems, Inc. Models T402, T403, and TS410. T The ultrasonic flow meters and probes shall be brand name Transonic Systems Inc. TS402 Console and Transonic Systems Inc TS410 Module or equivalent
