This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The NAICS code for the requirement is 333999. The size standard for this NAICS code is 500 employees. The Defense Priorities and Allocation System (DPAS) assigned rating is DO-C9. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-03. The Statement of Work: Description of Requirement: F.E. Warren AFB request the procurement of a high production impulse sealer to be used in the sealing of explosive material. The desired assembly is the Packaging Aids Corporation Vacuum sealing Machine, model PV-K or equal. The following is a list of the minimum specifications required for this item: Desired Specifications for the Vacuum Sealer: · Must have Seal Length of 30 inches. · Must have Seal Width of 5/16 of an inch. · Must have vacuum pump of ¾ horsepower. · Must have vacuum tank. · Must have control panel with on/off switch control for vacuum pump and analog gauges for monitoring jaw closure and seal pressure. · Must have open head design for easy access to bag. · Must be approved for the sealing of explosives. · Must have foot switch operation. · Must be able to operate on 220 volt electric and 100-120 PSI air. · Must be self-contained unit w/stand, desktop model unacceptable.
