J -- Abatement of asbestos containing materials (ACM) associated with mechanical system components and renovation projects.

The INS/USBP intends to advertise a solicitation on or about August 30, 2003, to remove and insulate thermal system insulation on the facilities' mechanical systems and remove any asbestos containing materials associated with renovation/construction projects. This indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract will support the Facilities Engineering Department in its effort to improve the efficiency and safety of the mechanical systems and removal of asbestos containing materials for future renovation projects. The Contractor must have an active office within the Charleston commuting area. The solicitation will be available online and will be solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The FBO site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through the FBO site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.
