The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\NIOSH-Pittsburgh intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Ergoneers of North America, Inc. 9755 SW Barnes Rd., Suite 680, Portland, OR 97255 for 1 ea: Dikablis Eye Tracking Glasses with D-Lab Eye Tracking Upgrade. NIOSH-Morgantown DSR\PTB requires a set of mobile eye-tracking glasses for eye-tracking in driving simulation and other tasks while being capable of working with prescription glasses and stereoscopic shutter glasses used in the 3D virtual reality CAVE. These glasses also have to be less obtrusive, less cumbersome, and less distractive to the user. The Dikablis Eye Tracking Glasses with D-Lab Eye Tracking Upgrade is the only set of eye-tracking glasses found which would allow a prescription set of glasses to be used with it as well as the Crystal-Eyes 4 stereoscopic shutter glasses (as used in the NIOSH Virtual Reality CAVE) without obstruction or limitation of vision to wearer. This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) (SAP) and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations/responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
