Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire, through full and open competition, services for the refurbishment of US Navy 1994-98 KME Renegade Structural Firefighting Pumpers for the Commander, Naval Installations Command (CNIC) Headquarters. All refurbishment activities shall be in accordance with the current version of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 1912, Fire Apparatus Refurbishing, unless otherwise noted. Work performed shall be classed as Level II Refurbishing as defined by NFPA 1912, Chapter 4 and 5. This includes the upgrade of major components or systems of a fire apparatus with components or systems that comply with the applicable standards in effect at the time the original apparatus was manufactured. Under this requirement, the Government intends to make a firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract with a base period of performance beginning on the date of award for a period of twelve months thereafter, plus four (4) additional (12) month option periods. The RFP will require the submission of past performance references as well as a price proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811118; size standard $7M. The RFP will be made available electronically upon its release at www.neco.navy.mil. Paper copies, faxed copies, or e-mail copies of the solicitation will not be provided.
