D--Purchase of CIS/Index & CIS/Microfiche Combination

The Contracting Center of Excellence (CCE) on behalf of the Office of the U.S.Army Pentagon Library & Information Directorate intends to award a sole source contract to Reed Elsevier Inc, Lexis Nexis Group, 1150 18th St NW Suite 600, Washington DC, 2 0036-3843, for the purchase of a CIS/Index & CIS/ Microfiche, for the Pentagon library systems. Reed Elsevier Inc / Lexis Nexis is the exclusive online provider, Combination, index to International Statistics and Microfiche and major studies & issues brie fs of Congressional research services for the Pentagon Library. They are the only known carrier of these products. Lexis Nexis holds exclusive license agreements rights to this product. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all capability statements receiv ed by 26 Jan 2007, 4:00 PM. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
