A--DEVELOPMENTAL BOND COAT OF COUPONS

NASA/GRC has a requirement for 1.) 1 lot, Bond coating, tooling and ingotprocurement, 2.) 1 lot, TBC coating of 1-inch N5 Coupons, and 3.) 1 lot, TBC coating bendbars, burner bars and T700 1st blade.NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from ALCOA-HOWMET, per FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), onlyone source can provide the proprietary bonds to the test coupons to maintain consistencyof test results. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon 06/10/2008. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purposeof determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Adetermination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
