95 -- Expression of Interest - Sources for Stainless Steel - Type 347 and 348 - Small Quantities

EXPRESSION OF INTEREST - Battelle Energy Alliance, contractor for the U. S. Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory, is working to identify interested suppliers of small quantities Type 347 and 348 stainless steel to support a future project. The specific requirements are as follows: 1. Solid bar or hollow round extrusions of varying wall sizes that have been manufactured in accordance with ASTM, ASME, Military Specification, or other nationally recognized specification. The material should be manufactured in accordance with a nationally recognized Quality Assurance (QA) program. Please identify QA documentation available for the offered product. 2. Chemical and physical properties are to be the same as those listed in ASTM-A-479 for Type 348 or Type 347 steel with the limitation that Type 347 shall have a maximum of 0.10 percent Ta and 0.20 percent Co. 3. Three to Six inch outside diameter up to 300 feet in length. 4. Six and one half inch or larger outside diameter up to 100 feet in length. 5.
