USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to GeoScienceWorld, 8200 Greensboro Dr, McLean, VA 22102-4931 for the renewal of annual subscription to GeoScienceWorld journal publications. GeoScienceWorld is the only company capable of fulfilling the requirement. GeoScienceWorld is the sole publisher and provider of the journals; this limits the availability to a sole source. The Government intends to procure from only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Interested parties may submit their capabilities and qualifications or quotes to provide this requirement in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 10 days from the date of this notice. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFQ/RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent.
