It is the intent of the National Library of Medicine (NLM) to procure serial subscriptions produced in Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Northern Ireland, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States and Wales to enhance NLM's collection of biomedical serials and periodicals. NLM requires procurement of approximately 9,000 subscriptions for approximately 8,800 unique titles with a 2008 anticipated award value of $7,902,364. This contract will be for the renewal of 2008 subscriptions, with options covering calendar years 2009 through 2012 subscriptions. A commercial items, fixed price, indefinite delivery (indefinite quantity) type contract in accordance with FAR Part 12.2 - Special Requirements for the Acquisition of Commercial Items for a base period of thirteen (13) months beginning September 1, 2007 with options to extend the term for four (4) successive one year periods beginning October 1, 2008 and options for additional quantities during each year, is anticipated.
