W91ZLK-12-T-0004 This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground Installation Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013, has a requirement to procure the following items: Item 1: 1 each; HIGH SPEED CAMERA, PHANTOM V1610, COLOR with 24 GB MEMORY, 12-BIT, 1US, CINEMAG PART# VRI-V1610-24G-MAG-C (optional quantities will be included) Item 2: 1 each; FAST OPTION TO NEW PHANTOM V1610 (EXPORT CONTROLLED), PART# VRI-V1610-FAST (optional quantities will be included) The intended delivery date for the item(s) is October 21st, 2011. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Vision Research. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer /distributor of the product no other source will stratify the Governments requirement. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 333315 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within 5(five) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, October 20th, 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
