62--This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT to Veteran-owned Small Business Luminys Systems Corp.

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items, section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Contracting Command- Aberdeen Proving Ground Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, APG, MD 21005-3013, has a requirement to procure the following items: Item: 4 each, 6.5K Blast Lighting Systems The intended delivery date for the items is on or before 20 October 2011. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to LUMINYS SYSTEMS CORP. This firm is the sole developer/manufacturer of the needed product, no other items have been found which satisfy Government requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 335122 and the Business Size Standard is 500. All responses received within 10 days after the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this Notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00PM Easter Time, 29 August 2011. Any response to this Notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competetion would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
