58--Notice of Intent to Award Sole-Source Firm-Fixed Price Contract for Networked Communications Equipment

The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to award a sole source purchase order to RACOM, 201 W. State Street, Marshalltown, IA 50158-5841 for encrypted portable radios, programmed to the RACOM trunked radio network on which RIA emergency services operate, which cannot be obtained from any other source. This action is awarded in support of Rock Island Arsenal Garrison Emergency Services. This action will be awarded under FAR 12 - Commercial Acquisition Programs and under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) Only One Source Reasonably Available. This synopsis is being published for subcontracting purposes only. No solicitation is being issued. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. Any other interested organizations must submit a written statement of their capabilities and qualifications to fulfill this requirement to the identified point of contact as soon as possible, but not later than 5:00 p.m. CDT on 09/13/2011.
