W91ZLK-12-T-0475 This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items: Item 1: Tabular Firing Table 0.5 Inch Three Ring Binder 7,150 max each Item 2: Tabular Firing Table 1.5 Inch Three Ring Binder 8,250 max each Item 3: Tabular Firing Table 2.0 Inch Three Ring Binder 5,500 max each The intended delivery date for the item(s) is term of October 2013 - January 2014 The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to GPM Associates LLC. d/b/a Forbes Custom Products (Cage Code 4MF24) . This firm has provided the required derivable to suit the Governments requirement. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 323118 and the Business Size Standard is 500. During a recent competition amongst 8(a) vendors quotations were submitted and found to be technically unacceptable. This requirement is now considered urgent and compelling in accordance with FAR 6.302-2(b) (2), "Delay in award of a contract would result in serious injury, financial or other, to the Government." All responses received within 3 (three) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time, September 27th, 2012. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
