The Regional Contracting Office for the 414th CSB in Vicenza, Italy will use the responses to this sources sought notice to determine potential firms capable of providing the services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Solicitation. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought Notice. No contract will result from this notice. BACKGROUND: The USAG Housing Office is in need of two types of Gas Ranges (26 inch and 36 inch) for use by the military families stationed at Caserme Ederle. 30 inch Gas Range DESCRIPTION: Gas Range (combination Gas-Electrical), household type, 80 cm wide, color white, free standing with 5 (five) gas burners on top, with 1 (one) gas burner and 1 (one) electric grill in the baking oven. Without lid (cover) overt the cooking top, Turn spit (rotisserie, quote mark Grillspiess quote mark , Girarrosto). Make: Technogas, Model: S864WS Maxi oven (code 041094150) or equivalent. It is estimated that as many as 300 Gas Ranges will be ordered this year with an additional 300 for two option years. 30 Inch Gas Range REQUIREMENTS: a. Color: White. (control panel may be of different color, cooking top stainless steel optional). b. Body finish: White paint or enamel. c. Approved for liquid and natural gas and adjusted/tuned for natural gas as used in Italy (set nozzles for liquid gas to be attached to the range. d. All burners equipped with safety device including oven burners shall have electronic spark ignition by 230V, 50Hz, usable with all types of gas. e. Baking oven shall have electric illumination and temperature control by thermostat. f. Baking oven usable capacity (space) minimum 85 liters. g. Removable oven door with double pane glass window h. Removable pan supports (grids) enameled. i. Power connection in according Italian standard: including fitted flexible power cable minimum 1.5 m long with large Italian 3-prong plug 16A. j. Equipped with adjustable steel legs firmly attached to the range frame for leveling purposes. k. Inscriptions/instructions on the appliance in English language or in symbols. l. Body finish: White paint or enamel. c. Cooking top: White enamel. d. Approved for liquid and natural gas and adjusted/tuned for natural gas as used in Italy (set nozzles for liquid gas to be attached to the range. e. All burners equipped with safety device including oven burners shall have electronic spark ignition by 230V, 50Hz, usable with all types of gas. f. Baking oven shall have electric illumination and temperature control by thermostat. g. Baking oven usable capacity (space) minimum 45 liters, minimum interior width 39.5 cm. h. Removable oven door with double pane glass window i. Removable pan supports (grids) enameled. j. Power connection in according Italian standard: including fitted flexible power cable minimum 1.5 m long with large Italian 3-prong plug 16A. k. Accessories: 1 oven rack (grid) 1 backing sheet 1 fat drip or frying pan 1 set of nozzles for liquid gas REQUIREMENTS FOR BOTH DIMENSIONS: SPECIFIC TECHNICAL REQUIREMENT: FLAME MONITORING ( quote mark GAS STOP quote mark ). A flame monitoring system shall be provided for each burner including baking oven burner. Its function shall be as follows: A device (sensor) next to the burner keeps the gas flow to the burner open as long as it is heated by the burner flame. Once the flame extinguishes, the gas flow to the burners will automatically and reliably be shut off. POWER REQUIREMENT (GAS): The total power requirement (gas) of the gas range at any time shall not exceed 13.6 kW. CONFORMANCE AND CERTIFICATION: The appliance shall conform to the European Communities directive CE, and each appliance shall carry the CE mark. Besides the CE mark, the appliance shall carry the VDE or TUEV certification or the UL or CSA or BEAB or IMQ listing mark on its data plate as proof of having passed a test at one of these institutes. (NOTE: The receiver of the appliances will examine the legality of the certification/listing mark). QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM: The appliance shall be manufactured within the scope of a quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000 which shall be certified by a recognized institute. The offeror shall provide such compliance by submitting a copy of the corresponding certificate if they reply to this notice as an interested vendor.
