RECOVERY DESIGN ANALYSIS AND FABRICATION OF CURVED PRSEUS PANEL

NASA LaRCintends to issue a Task Order against contract NNL04AA11B to Boeing under the IDIQcontract entitled Structures & Materials and Aerodynamic, Aerothermodynamic, AcousticsTechnology for Aerospace Vehicles (SMAAATAV) as a sole source in accordance with FAR16.505. The title of the task is Design, Analysis, and Fabrication of Curved PRSEUSPanel. The Pultruded Rod Stitched Efficient Unitized Structure (PRSEUS) design approachrepresents a new concept in composite design theory and manufacturing methods. Underthis Task Order, the Contractor will be developing next generation composite damagearrest design principles that would be applicable to either a conventional tube-and-wingor a hybrid wing body aircraft, using the PRSEUS structural concept and delivering a testpanel.
