Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract Radio Frequency (RF) Mast Clamp Current Probes (MCCPs)

Description: N66001-17-D-0204 Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Contract to Fischer Custom Communications, Inc. (FCC) The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SSC Pacific), intends to award a contract on a Sole Source basis to Fischer Custom Communications, Inc. of Torrance, CA, for the purchase of Radio Frequency (RF) Mast Clamp Current Probes (MCCPs). RF MCCPs will be used with existing ship structures for the purpose of both transmitting and receiving communications. This project was initiated to minimize the ships topside assortment of antennae. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 5985 and the applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334220, with a business size standard of 500 employees. It is anticipated that the RF MCCPs will be acquired on a firm fixed-price basis. The total estimated dollar value of this action is $1,214,400.00. Consequently, FCC is the only source of the RF MCCP which would not result in substantial duplication of cost to the government. This notice of intent is not a request for proposal. No solicitation will be posted.
