DESC: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13.5 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard Maritime Industrial Branch anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract for the following item: CLIN 0001 Weight, Ballast, Lead, in accordance with the following ordering data: A. Weight Ballast, Mil-W-20096D, 6 July 1987; (B) Type (A) Lead; (C) 3" X 3" X 9.375" LG per NAVSEA Dwg. 121-6037056, Exceptions 1. Tolerance shall be 1/8” instead of 1/16” as noted on ref. dwg., 2. Weight shall be 31 to 32 lbs.; Additional information: 1. Vendor will pour lead into molds or pigs 3" X 3" X 9.375 LG, finished size should be 31 to 32 pounds each; 2. Vendor will pour pigs, clean-up, and palletize pigs; 3. Pigs to be banded to non-returnable pallet, two (2) pigs high; Quantity: 10,000 each. All deliverables shall be FOB Destination, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Delivery is required on or before 3 April 2006. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The applicable quotation number is N00181-06-Q-Z002 and the NAICS classification is 331491. Small business size standard is 750 employees. Inspection and acceptance is at destination. The following provisions/clauses are applicable: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items (price and past performance are equally important in evaluation), 52.212-3, 52.212-4, and 52.212-5 (incorporating (11), (12), (13), (14), (15), and (16). ADDENDA: DFAR 252.212-7000, 252.212-7001 incorporating 252.225-7001, DFAR 252.204-7004. The Navy's Contractor Evaluation System, Red/Yellow/Green Program will apply in the evaluation process. A copy of clause and/or dwg is available upon request. Contractors are required to be registered in the CCR (Central Contractor Registration). Lack of registration in the CCR shall make an offeror INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. All responses MUST include a completed copy of the certifications and representations set forth in FAR 52.212-3 and DFAR 252.212-7000 Parties responding to the Request for Quotation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g.; company letterhead, quote form, etc.) but must include the following: (1) complete mailing/remittance address(es); (2) prompt payment discount (if applicable); (3) delivery schedule; (4) taxpayer (TIN) ID#; and (5) all completed certifications as required herein.
