Purchase of Packaged and/or Processed Products for Foreign Food Assistance Programs. http://www.fsa.usda.gov/daco/CommRequirements.htm Canned Salmon (CPS): The salmon shall be packed in the United States in accordance with: (1) the applicable Commercial Item Description; (2) the Technical Data Supplement (TDS-CPS) (June 27, 2003), including the Federal Food and Drug Administration Standard of Identity and Fill of Container for Canned Salmon, 21 C.F.R. 161.70; (3) the Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (21 CFR Part 110); and (4) additional requirements as prescribed in the Salmon Control Plan, by year. The invitation shall specify the type of salmon. The canned pink salmon shall have a shelf life of at least one year from date of manufacture.
