The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a 100% Small Business Set Aside basis, interpretation services of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scans in support of the Radiology Department at the Naval Hospital Great Lakes, IL. The Contractor is responsible for performing interpretation of MRI scans received at their facility either digitally via teleradiology or via courier service. It is anticipated that approximately 30 MRI scans will be performed at the Naval Hospital Great Lakes per week. The cost of the courier service for the MRI scans and transcribed reports to be shipped shall be borne by the Contractor; this will include pick-up and return to the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). This is a synopsis for commercial services prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. A written solicitation will be issued. The RFQ number will be N00140-02-Q-2961 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5.
