Bentek/Platts (Brand Name or Equal) Data Subscription

EIA requires an internet-accessible data portal, available to all EIA employees under a site-wide license. The government’s requirements are for the “Brand Name or Equal� services of S&P Global Platts, (previously “Bentek Energy�) which provides natural gas receipt and delivery nominations and pipeline capacity utilization data based on electronic bulletin board disclosures mandated by the U.S. Federal Government at all 26,000 receipt and delivery points across all U.S. interstate and Canadian natural gas pipelines going back to 2001 on a daily basis. Bentek also provides other data across many sectors: natural gas prices, storage information and pipeline project data, petroleum market analysis, electric prices, supply and demand information, nuclear facility operational information and oil and gas pipeline and liquefied natural gas (LNG) operations.
