The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) requests your bid for the furnishing of Engineering, Labor, Materials, Equipment, Installation, Testing, project management, quality control, transportation, safety, appurtenances and other items necessary for the installation of Redundant Antenna System in Washington DC. The Contractor shall engineer, furnish, install and test a Redundant Antenna System (RAS) to pick up the 800MHz PSRS signal from the DC Fire Department (DCFD) over the air system and distribute the signal to the twenty-six (26) Public Safety Radio System (PSRS) remote sites located throughout the WMATA underground system within the DC area. The contractor shall have five (5) years experience with the design and installation of RF and Fiber Optic systems. The contractor shall provide a turnkey system and shall be responsible for system performance, product selection (specified or approved equal), system installation, system testing, training and documentation. A pre-bid conference will be held at 9:00 a.m. on February 28, 2008 at the JGB Building located at the JGB Building, Lobby Level Meeting Room, located at 600 5th Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001. Bids must be received as stated in the Invitation for Bid which is currently no later than 2:00 P.M. on March 19 2008 at 600 Fifth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20001, in the Meeting Room, Lobby Level. The apparent low bidder will be determined as shown on the Unit Price Schedule of the Bid Form on the basis of the lowest responsive and responsible bid. It must be noted that bidders are requested to submit Bidder?s Qualifications requirements, including the experience requirements noted above and the proposed products to be furnished under the contract with their bid.
