In accordance with FAR subpart 5.203 (a), the Social Security Administration (SSA) is publishing this notice of proposed contract action to notify interested parties of its intent to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Next Generation Telephony Project (NGTP). The purpose of the NGTP requirement is to establish a procurement vehicle that will provide an agency-wide unified communications (UC) platform. The agency intends to establish a single award Indefinite-delivery/ Indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract that will cover approximately 126 months (base, plus all option periods). The eventual RFP number is 28321318R00000047. The RFP will be released on or about 1 day after publication of this notice on the FedConnect web portal at https://www.fedconnect.net and on the Government point of entry website at www.fbo.gov. The RFP will be subject to the policies and procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12 "Acquisition of Commercial Items," FAR part 15 "Contracting by Negotiation," and FAR subpart 16.5. "Indefinite-Delivery Contracts." Please note, THIS IS NOT A RFP, and the Government does not intend to pay for any information submitted in response to this notice.
