Pursuant to FAR 5.201, this is a notice of the Government's intent to extend the ordering period and increase the total ceiling value of the Concepts and Operations for Space and Missile Defense Integration and Capabilities (COSMIC) contract, W91260-06-D-0005. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a sole source action pursuant to 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Army Contracting Command-Redstone (ACC-RSA), 350 Vandenberg Street, Peterson AFB, CO 80914, intends to execute a modification to the contract to add an additional one-year option to the basic contract ordering period from 1 October 2013 to 30 September 2014, as well as two additional six-month option periods from 1 October 2014 through 31 March 2015 and 1 April 2015 through 30 September 2015, respectively. Additionally, an increase to the overall contract ceiling value in the amount of $85.5M will be incorporated to allow for competition of task order requirements through any exercised ordering period extension until a follow-on contract vehicle is in place. Contract W91260-06-D-0005 is an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity Cost-Plus-Fixed Fee contract with BAE Systems Technology Solutions & Services, Inc., 520 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD 20850, CAGE Code 99789. The proposed action will be executed under NAICS Code 541712. ACC-RSA intends to execute award of the modification no later than 28 February 2013.
