A--SPACE LAUNCH SYSTEM ADVANCED DEVELOPMENT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Space Launch System AdvancedDevelopment Request for Information NNM12ZPS002N which was posted on October 7, 2011. Youare notified that the following changes are made: The purpose of this RFI amendment is for planning purposes only. The Draft NASA Research Announcement (NRA) for the Advanced Booster EngineeringDemonstration and Risk Reduction is planned for release on or about December 12, 2011. Additionally, an Industry Day for the Advanced Booster Engineering Demonstration and RiskReduction NRA is currently scheduled for December 15, 2011, at Marshall Space FlightCenter. Firm details concerning this procurement will be released in the future. Detailson registration and attendance for the Industry Day will be forthcoming in a futureannouncement. A separate NRA focused on Advanced Development for the SLS vehicle is planned for releaseearly in calendar year 2012. Interested parties are informed that an Industry Day forthe Advanced Development NRA is currently planned for mid February 2012, at MarshallSpace Flight Center. Firm details concerning this procurement will be released in thefuture. Details on registration and attendance for the Industry Day will be forthcomingin a future announcement. For additional information on this solicitation, as well as the Advanced BoosterEngineering Demonstration NRA, interested parties are encouraged to monitor theGovernment Point of Entry (FedBizOpps), NASA Acquisition Internet Service (NAIS), and theNASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES).The due date for responses is not extended.
