USACE, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Contracting Office intends to issue a sole source award to Oceaneering International Incorporated located at 7001 Dorsey Road, Hanover, MD, 21076-1553. This procurement is a follow-on to further develop a design and prototypes for an advanced Lightweight Modular Causeway System using Flexible Module Concepts which was originally developed by Oceaneering International Incorporated. Oceaneering International Incorporated is the only company able to provide the continuation of the required services because they developed the original system. Oceaneering International Incorporated's expertise is required to continue the development and modification of the system that ERDC requires to enable current and future vessels with vessel-to-shore bridging capability. The Government intends to procure from only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A). This will be a noncommercial acquisition in accordance with FAR part 15. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available.
